Ingredients:
- 3 slices bacon, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 pounds boneless veal shoulder, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 1/2 cup boiling water
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 cup cold water
Preparation:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon, onion, garlic, and veal cubes until veal cubes are browned on all sides. Add salt, pepper, paprika, and boiling water. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour, or until veal is very tender. Remove veal to hot platter; keep hot. Add sour cream to the pan drippings. Blend together the 2 tablespoons of flour and 2 tablespoons cold water until smooth; stir into sour cream mixture. Cook over low heat just until thickened. Do not boil. Pour sauce over veal cubes. Veal paprika recipe serves 4.
