Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 2 medium yellow or sweet onions, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper
- 2 to 4 veal strip steaks, chops, or fillets, about 1 inch thickness
- 1 or 2 cloves garlic, cut in half
- Salt and pepper
- 2 to 3 teaspoons olive oil
Preparation:
Coat a grill pan or large skillet with olive oil; place over medium-high heat. Rub steaks with the cut sides of the garlic and sprinkle with salt and pepper Cook the steaks for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until done as desired.
Serve veal on a thin bed of caramelized onions and sprinkle with more strands of the caramelized onions.
