Vegetable Salad Recipe

A simple, flavorful vinegar dressing brings out the best in these chopped vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 4 cups chopped tomatoes (4 medium)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Preparation:

Combine the bell pepper, onion, celery, and tomatoes in a medium serving bowl. Combine remaining ingredients in a amall mixing bowl; mix well and pour over the vegetable mixture. Toss gently to blend ingredients. Vegetable salad serves 8.
