Ingredients:
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups torn iceberg lettuce or romaine
- 1 cup cooked ham, cut in strips
- 1 cup shredded Swiss or mild Cheddar cheese
- 1 small green bell pepper, cut in strips
- 1/2 red bell pepper, cut in strips

- Red Wine Vinaigrette:
- 1/3 cup salad oil
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- dash pepper
Preparation:
Cut onion slices in half; separate. Toss with lettuce, cheese, ham, and green and red pepper. Combine vinaigrette ingredients and whisk well. Toss with salad in a serving bowl.Green salad recipe serves 6.
