Just what I was looking for!March 29, 2009 By jjhyman
Wow! This was the exact thing I was looking for. It was so simple and the buns turned out AWESOME! The only thing I did differently than the recipe was to add sesame seeds after brushing the hot buns with butter. The ladies at my open house thought I bought them! I need to buy a good cutter for the next batch. My kids loved them, too! They worked great for the BBQ sandwiches I originally made them for, and then we used the extras for PB&J and Tunafish sandwiches. They are just the right size for 3 year olds! (I used all the dough - not just half.)

Instructions Are Not CompleteNovember 18, 2007 By Mishou6779
The instructions for this recipe are incomplete. They do not include the temperature for preheating the oven. Secondly, they say, ""Roll out half of the dough..."" but never explain what to do with the other half. This isn't rocket science, so I used all the dough to make my mini hamburger buns. I also used the same dough to make mini hot dog buns. I searched the web and found another recipe for normal sized hamburger buns, which instructed to preheat the oven to 400, and bake them for 10 minutes. I baked the mini buns at 400 for 10 minutes and it worked in my oven, though they were a teeny bit too done on the bottom, and a little tough on the bottom. I will make this recipe again, because the flavor is good, but I wish About.com would revise the recipe to correct the errors, because I'm not a beginner to bread dough, but it frustrated me to have to wing it to bake mini breads since I've never done miniature breads before.
