Apple Sour Cream Pie Recipe

I had to adjust the recipe for no egg, no dairy and no gluten for my allergic daughter, and it turned out delicious all the same! Our dinner guests had no idea it was allergy-free, and loved it. I used an egg replacer powder for the 1 egg, soy sour cream, and gluten free flour in the crust based on a pie crust recipe from About.com Dairy Free guide. I also cooked it 10 mins longer as it was hard to tell when it was done.

This pie makes regular apple pie boring now. I wish I could buy this pie in the store. I think I'll give this recipe to my favorite bakery to make. I am baking one today for Christmas Dessert. Merry Christmas fellow bakers, and a very happy, wonderful New Year!

I've made this pie several times and it always comes out perfectly delicious. Simple, quick and wonderful. You would never think to use sour cream....but it is what makes it so unique and tasty!! A definate beauty of a pie!
