Great apple pie recipe, and so simple. This is my new personal apple pie recipe. It went over great. The pecans in topping were delicious. I used more apples so the pie was heaped up going into oven and settled nice and flat but thick apple base when cooling. I was looking for recipe that uses little/no flour in filling. It was runny until cool, but set up well. Yum.

I was looking very a easy and simple recipe because I do not bake pies much and I have never made a pie from scratch before. Yes I know the pie crust you already buy from the store but that was the sort of recipe I was looking for and I wanted the rest to be stuff I prepared, and this recipe was just that! Wow, this pie is delicious and so easy to prepare and bake. I will definitely make this pie again and give this recipe to all my friends and family!

This recipe was super easy to make. I made it for my husband while he was feeling sick and topped it with vanilla bean icecream while it was still warm. It was HEAVEN!

i tried this recipie for a guest from kentucky. i actually made it for thanksgiving but it looked and smelled so good we gobbled it up right away. an instant family favorite. very easy to make. i made 1/4 extra topping to cover the apples completely. thanks for the yummy recipie ree laude boise, idaho ps we omitted the nuts
