I tried this recipe for our Sunday dinner and the whole family loved it. The only problem was I didn't have enought for 2nd for everyone. So, the next time I make these apple dumpling I have to double the recipe! The recipe was easy to follow and I had no problems with it.

This recipe took a lot of work, but definately paid off in the end. I had trouble assembling the ""dumpings"" as thin as the recipe called for, and because the dough kept falling apart. But it worked out. The recipe called for 5-6 apples, when I was only able to use 2 - maybe if I chopped them instead of slicing them. Add an extra slice of apple to the top of the dumpling with a little butter for an extra treat.

It was my favorite dessert as a kid and I haven't had it since then. I was telling my family about apple dumplings, they couldn't believe I haven't made it for them yet. So of course I got on the internet to find the recipe. It turned out great! It really was as good as my mother use to make! Thank you for bringing back the memories of childhood, now I get to pass it on to my kids.

loved this recipe. made it with pre-made pie crust for a faster result, was great.

this was a delicious recipe. the only thing i would have changed was all of the work. but all in all it was really a good recipe. there's a lot of stuff needed for it and a lto of work needed for it but it's definitely good!!
