I was looking for a dessert to make for our Easter dinner and came across this and decided to make it and I was highly impressed and right then I decided this recipe was a KEEPER!! I loved it so much and couldn't stop eating it and had to end up bringing the rest of it to work to share....they loved it too and it didn't even make it to 10:00 that morning.

Well I finally made this cake recipe for my family for thanksgiving dinner and it was a hit. I liked it as well too... good flavor light flavors of the fruit . I would have liked more tang but it was good, texture was more like a good banana or carrot cake. I would make it again. easy directions for homemade. YUM! I think maybe I will add some orange zest to frosting next time.

My daughter Angie made this cake and I served it to friends visiting from Alaska and Wisconsin...We all agreed that this was the best cake we had ever had in our lives...no kidding. Absolutely mouthwatering.

my family and friends love when i make this cake it started with my uncle charlie who loved to cook and when he passed my aunt passed his recipe book down to me because i love to cook and this recipe was in it which was his favorite also i made and it was a hit .

I made this for someone's birthday at his request and was worried since I had never made a hummingbird cake before but it turned out really well and everyone loved it. I did use cake flour and the texture of the batter was a little different so I think if I make it again I will use regular all-purpose flour because it might hold up better to all the ingredients in the batter.

This cake is very good. It is easy to make, it is moist, and very rich. I have been baking this cake for Kwanzaa for the past four years. Everybody loves this cake.
