Easy to modifyAugust 15, 2011 By katiecee
We are watching what we eat and cabbage is a great diet food. I only shook a few shakes of salt into the water and skipped the butter entirely. I served it with a salt and pepper shaker so we could add what we wanted to taste. Quick and easy and will remember this one for sure!

Simple and tastyMarch 17, 2011 By Ms_Tre
@Rodcre8s - The first line states to add 1/2 inch of water. This recipe is simple and foolproof. Very tasty!

Good but lack vital detailMarch 16, 2009 By Rodcre8s
The recipe is a good recipe. However it lacks vital details on how much water to use. This is a vital detail because of salt and butter content. a gallon of water that has a 1/2 teaspoon of salt will make the cabbage taste significantly different that a half teaspoon of salt in 2 quarts. This is also the case with butter. Again, the recipe is good but needs instructions on pot size and (in general) how much water.

Perfect for what I needed it forFebruary 26, 2009 By Mysti68
We make a lot of jerk and spicy foods. Sometimes a 'calmer' side dish is exactly what it needs. This was what I was looking for regarding length of cooking time, etc.
