Broccoli Cheese Soup

This recipe was easy to make, but it was not palatable in my oppinion. The only flavor that the soup had was an overly pronounced dijon mustard flavor. You could not taste the chees or the broclli, just the dijon mustard. I followed the recipe exactly. Also, this soup was not creamy in the least, it was very thin. If you are looking for a soup that tatstes like brocolli and cheese, this isn't it.

It was pretty easy and i was shocked at how good it was. i didnt have a blender so i used the potato masher. it worked fine, minimal mess and there were still small bits ( i like a bit of bits). i didnt understand that you had to cut the small florets off and just cook the stalks and onions together so some of the broccoli was in the onion mixture too. mashes fine, looks good and tastes no different. i didnt have Dijon mustard but regular mustard works fine too. Add more cheese at the end for more cheesy flavor. Try this one its amazing!

This was so quick and easy to make. I had NEVER heard of putting dijon mustard in it, but, I followed the directions, and am so glad that I did. What a fantastic kick of flavor!!!

This soup was very good. It was yummy and healthier tasting then I expected. Be sure to cut the florets small though as I felt mine were a little too big. I didn't put in the full amount of mustard or any hot pepper; in retrospect I wish I had. Go for it, you will like it.

We made this cheese soup exactly as in the recipe. It was very good, however, we do try to control our salt input, but we think that this recipe may use a bit of salt or possibly a little more pepper or other herbs.

I had purchased three pounds of broccoli florests at Costco, and I was in need of a way to use them! I haven't had broccoli cheese soup in years, and this one didn't disappoint. The recipe is fairly easy - I didn't have the dijon mustard, but other than that, I made it exactly. It did need the snap of mustard, which I will use next time.
