Fruitcake Cookies

I made these cookies and before they were cool enough to eat they were gone. The second batch didn't last much longer than the first. Easy to make, good with cold milk and now are on the top of my list. I did how ever make a powered sugar and peach brandy drizzle for the third batch add 1/2 star to the rating.

The 400 degree baking temperature was very much too high...I made a second batch and cooked longer at 325...The cookies are very good. I substituted more candied fruits for the dates. Several friends have asked for the recipe.
