This is not the Johnny Cake I was looking for. This Johnny Cake is the texture of hush puppies .. the batter is thick, and difficult to spread in the pan. I think what I am looking for is more like corn bread. Perhaps adding milk and more sugar to the recipe will give me the desired effect I'm looking for.
