Followed the recipe for the most part using Zesty Italian dressing mix. Except I used sliced fresh mushrooms that I put in the crockpot with the chicken. When I got home from work for the day, I pulled the breast out and sliced them into strips and put back in the crockpot, then I cooked up some noodles and when they were done stirred them into the crockpot. Big hit with my family and the leftovers tasted even better.

Tasty!October 11, 2010 By hanslake
I left out the mushrooms, and really enjoyed this dish! It was a little on the rich side, but not overly so. Definitely a crowd pleaser in our house.

YUMMY! A new favorite!August 25, 2010 By pstkbruce
I doubled the first part, because I used 8 chicken breasts. So - 2 packets of seasoning and 2/3 c. water. Then I used what I had on hand - 12 oz. cream cheese and one can of cream of chicken soup. I also can't stand canned mushrooms, so chopped fresh baby bellas worked great. I was going to use brown rice, but waited too long to get it started. Combed through the pantry.... didn't want plain rice, long pasta - nah... rotini - uh-uh.... there it is .... ORZO!! A 16 oz. box wasn't enough, but the next time, I won't even bother with rice or anything else. The orzo was PERFECT. ALL of my men gobbled this up. Thanks!!

I absolutely love this recipe. The sauce is really good over white rice. I suggest instead of canned mushrooms fry fresh mushrooms with butter!!

Easy and very flavorful!February 01, 2010 By Bethany1984
This is a dish I will be making again and again! It is super easy and has great flavor. I followed the recipe as it was listed but I would consider adding more mushrooms the next time. I think this is a recipe that would appeal to many people and would be great for company.

Fabulous mealSeptember 05, 2008 By divadev
I tweaked this recipe a bit. Instead of the block of cream cheese I used a tub of the cream cheese and chive. I used fresh mushrooms and added chopped up scallions. Instead of all water, I made it half white wine and half water. I served it over Angel Hair Pasta, and it was wonderful - it's really easy dish and is fancy enough to serve to company.

Awesome!!! I used neufchatel cheese instead of cream cheese, and it was great! We don't like mushrooms, so I left them out, and added about 3/4 of a cup of thawed green peas at the end, stirred them in, and let them cook until they were warm. It was awesome! I made it last week, and can't wait to make it again!!!

I made this dish for a pot luck at work and that is what I am requested to bring for our pot lucks now. I love the fact that I can cook it over night, add the noodles in the morning, and just keep it on warm in my crock pot at work and grab a cup full to snack on. My family also loves it. I keep the recipe on me at all times. LOVE IT!!!!

DeliciousMarch 22, 2008 By malisam71
This is so tasty and the chicken just falls apart. I did add a little seasoning and garlic because I used the low fat creamy chicken and cream cheese. The only chicken my husband actually loves!!!

My family does not like mushrooms so we left them out. Mixed in one-half can cream of mushroom soup, served with corn, rice and a green salad. A definite thumbs up! Thank you.

This meal is so good that my husband asks me to make it at least once every week!! And it's so easy to make (but your family will think you spent hours slaving in the kitchen)! Go ahead give it a try......

I use frozen chicken breasts and shred them after the first step. I also replace the water with white wine and serve the rest of the bottle with dinner. Mix this chicken mixture with rice and save the rest for wonderful leftovers!
