Ness's Crockpot Lasagna

I was disappointed that this recipe did not turn out as good as I had hoped. It was somewhat dry, bland and burned around the outer edges (but not the bottom!). I followed the directions except I only used only 8 oz of mozzarella, added 6 sliced mushrooms to the sauce, added about a teaspoon each of basil and oregano and used regular lasagna noodles. I cooked it on low about 5 1/2 hours then turned on warm about 2 hours. If I were to try it again I would use Italian sausage (turkey) and cut down the cooking time. It's possible that the ""no-cook"" lasagna noodles might absorb less of the liquid. The regular lasagna noodles here were quite nicely done.

I was nervous for sure. Company coming over...last day of July so its hot outside. Lasagna was what everyone wanted. I thought oh no...way to hot to start an oven. I searched for a crockpot lasagna not knowing if there was such a thing. Choose this one and everyone was happy I did. It was EXCELLENT! It didnt say how many it would feed so I doubled the recipe. I did do an extra 2bls of meat but I mixed ground sausage with the ground beef for flavor. Only other adjustment for me was that I poured the rest of the spaghetti sauce around the edges in the crockpot to keep moist. Worked great! I used a slow cooker on 250 for 3 hours. Perfect and Grrrreat Taste. Dont be afraid to try, honestly!! P.S. I did not need to double. 8 of us and I had half of it left.......Freezer for future meals:)

I served 12 people tonight with this dish and everyone loved it. I added more sauce than it called for. I may add mushrooms next time. It cooked on low for 4 hours and it was perfect; not too runny and not dry at all. Cooking it in the crockpot and not boiling the noodles is very convenient. Thank you for this excellent recipe!

Thank you so much for this recipe! My husband's absolute favorite food is lasagna and this makes it easy for me to make it for him more often. I added a box of frozen spinach (thawed and well drained) along with another egg and doubled the milk to the cheese layer. My whole family gobbles this down in a hurry - only problem is that there are hardly any leftovers! Thanks again!

While baked lasagna really takes the cake, this recipe is great since it's one pot with little prep and almost no cleanup. Using no bake lasagna noodles works great. Not quite as cheesy as your traditional baked lasagna (I may try adding more cheese next time) but hearty and pasta like good and tasty! A great tip here is to pour some water around the edges of the crockpot after you have put in all the ingredients so the edges of the lasagna don't burn to a blackened crisp. This one is a keeper.

This recipe was easy and tasted great. It has just the basics in it, stuff I already had in my cupboards. I didn't have to go and buy a bunch of weird ingredients that I'll never use again. I will make this recipe again sometime.
