This recipe was basic and very easy simple ... it takes some prep time, for a first time lasagna maker it was very easy. I even changed it up alittle bit, because i didnt have mushrooms i added broccoli florets to the chopped and seasoned onions cooked my noodles layered pan with noodles added first layer with onions and broccoli; sauted sliced eggplant in seasoned olive oil and added a layer of eggplant ricotta/mozerella and parm chease added seasoned salt/pepper and breadcumbs and repeated process with two other layers. Oh my goodness my family raved that it was my best dish ever. Thankyou.! :)

Whats up with this recipe ? I spent a good bit of time and effort making it BY THE RECIPE and it was not very good. Then , as hindsight goes. I read the two reviews after I made it. They loved it ? Guess why they loved it so much ? They added fresh Garlic and Basil to the recipe. They ( the 2 reviewers) seasoned the egg plant with seasoned salt before cooking. all these extras ? these ingredients were not in the original recipe. Now i know why the (posted) recipe was boring and bland. A real disappointment for me. a waste of time, effort and money

Great recipe - I made it for the company bar b que and everyone loved it! I also added fresh parsley and basil on top of the layers of ricotta. I used seasoning salt on the eggplant slices I added fresh garlic to the mushroon mixture and seasoning salt I was generous with the mozarella cheese I used freshly grated parmesan generously I found that the baking time of 40 minutes at 350 was not long enough - I baked mine for at least an hour

I prepared this dish yesterday and it was excellent!!!Had family over for dinner and everyone had second helpings. I added fresh basil and parsley on top of the layers of ricotta, and covered the dish while baking. Can't wait to have leftovers for dinner tonight. Served it with a Mache lettuce blend and garlic bread. I would give this recipe a five star rating.
