Southern Fried Chicken

i fried the chicken my own way, in a half inch of oil browning all sides before putting closed in a roaster in a medium oven while taking care of the rest of the meal. i made the gravy almost exactly as in the recipe, but doubling the gravy proportions and replacing a half cup of cube-made chicken bouillon for some of the water and salt. although i do not measure things out very exactly, it was perfect!
