I love this frosting. It is wonderful on Spice Cupcakes. My grandma used to make it all time. She would add 2 tablespoons of coffee. It added a real rich taste.

This was so easy. I used this frosting on a carrot cake. This cake sold at a cake auction and I had people calling the next day asking for the icing recipe. It makes a perfect combination to the carrot cake. This will become a regular for our local bake sales from now on and I will highly recommend this icing.

If I'd known how easy Penuche frosting was to make, I would have made it years ago. This frosting brings back memories of penuche fudge. Directions are clear and easy to follow. When I finished cooking the butter, brown sugar & milk, the mixture seemed pretty thin, but when it cooled and the confectioners sugar was beaten in, the consistency was perfect. I used it to frost my Grama Dee's applesauce cake.

Great icing, it is wonderful on spice cake. Well worth the effort to make!

Tastes great on pumpkin cookies!! This was more than enough to ice 3 dozen fairly large sized cookies. Should be very good on cake as well. Yum!

This frosting is delicious, nice rich flavor but not overbearing. Easy to make. I put it on a pecan cake ; it was a big hit with everyone.
