Was Excellent but took most of the day to make. I will make this again. 1 large dish and 1 small dish. It makes several servings.

Basic Instructions, Lasagna with Meat SauceJanuary 27, 2010 By bushwickgirl
The recipe calls for cooking the noodles for 25 minutes. That's way over the amount of time for cooking any pasta, 6-7 minutes is plenty for dried noodles. I don't even bother cooking the noodles first anymore, I just make my sauce a little looser by adding one cup of water when using the tomato paste in this recipe, and layer the dried noodles as usual. I've had good success with the no-boil noodles as well and wouldn't bother cooking fresh pasta first, either.

I make it every time there's a pot luck or a party and my family can't get enough.

Very good basic lasagna recipeJanuary 06, 2008 By Julie_mango
This recipe is simple, easy and delicious! The sauce is very tasty and the leftovers (if any) can be used with other pasta. I added a layer of spinach to the lasagna to have more vegetables and it was excellent! I'm sure the ricotta cheese could be substituted by cottage cheese as well. By using low fat cheese, very lean ground beef and whole wheat lasagna pasta, you can certainly adapt this recipe to make it healthier if you wish.
