    i have made this grape gelly meatball mix before. Try this use itialian meatballs mix grape gelly. Then the secret would be a jar of chily sauce. i have made this for several weddings and people cant get enough. last year i made this for a surprise birthday party. The surprisey did not get a chance to have any it was funny.Give a shot . thanks .love cookin pittsburgh dennis. see yaz

    I have made a similar and easier recipe (if using frozen meatballs)....I use the frozen Armour meatballs and for the sauce I just use the grape jelly and ketchup (no lemon juice)......I cook the sauce ingredients in a pan on the stove until melted together (constantly stirring over medium heat). I put the frozen meatballs in a crockpot and pour the sauce over top. Turn on crockpot (low) and stir about every hour for about 3-4 hours. I won a contest in high school with this recipe and my family has been making this for over 20 years. People are put off when you tell them the ingredients, but when they taste it, they change their minds! Great recipe!
