These cookies are easy to make and taste delicious. The preparation is quick and easy. The time in the oven is very short and the cookies always come out perfect. I was extremely happy with the results.

Cookies came out great. Texture of this recipe is like that of a soft sugar cookie. I doubled the recipe and added vanilla. Rolled the cookies into 1-1/2 inch sized balls and reduced the cooking time to 9 min. in my oven. Golden on the bottom and light color on the top just like the picture shows. I was able to remove the cookies from the sheet immediately insuring they would stay soft. Not a traditional peanut butter cookie but great for those who don't like their cookies crisp and crunchy.

I read the reviews before I made these cookies. I wasn't sure if I wanted to make them but decided if they don't come out so great I'll end up eating less(which is fine). They came out GREAT! I added more Peanut Butter than the recipe called for. I added 3/4 of a cup maybe a touch more. I know it was more than a 1/2 a cup. I finished off the jar of Adams Crunchy Peanut Butter. Baking for 9 to 10 mins made the cookies nice and chewy with a very slight crunch. They came out perfectly peanut buttery and GOOD. I will make these again!

This recipe is awesome. I did alter it a tad. I used half butter and half butter flavored Crisco. I also added 1/2 c Reeses Pieces and 1/2 c Peanut Butter chips. Finally a good peanut butter cookie recipe. Thank you!!

This is a really good recipe I just finished up making these cookies and I really liked them. its so hard to find a really good peanut butter cookie recipe but now the search is over. I would of given it a 5 start but, the recipe didnt say that the cookies will expand in the oven, even though my first batch was one hole cookie it was delisous anyway. very very good. :)

I must say that these were the best peanut butter cookies that I've had. They were very chewy which I love. My hubby keeps asking when I'll make more. My only modification is that I added one teaspoon of vanilla extract. They were great!

I have always had a hard time baking cookies, the last batch I tried to make were burnt around the edges and raw in the middle, so last night I decided to give these a try, the dough was so easy to make and they came out perfect! Everyone loved them so much I'm making another batch right now! Also to keep the cookies the same size, I used my Tablespoon measure and found out this way, I can get 3 dozen cookies out of the batch of dough.

Because these were so light in color after baking, I baked them a lot longer. They were not very chewy and that would have been ok but they also were not strongly peanut-buttery in taste. I think they need less flour. I also used freshly ground p-nut butter. I think the addition of some chips of some kind would have been better. Or maybe chunky peanut butter. Not bad but not that great either. I think I would leave out the baking soda or powder or both to make them more dense and less cakey.

3 out of 5Not quite a ""traditional"" peanut butter cookie ...February 28, 2008
By mysterystew
The cookie dough was easy to make, with everyday ingredients. It spread out quite a bit when the cookies baked - the cookies were very large and flat. Much to my surprise, they got only a mediocre response from my 17 year old - he said they weren't like ""the soft kind"" (the thicker, more traditional type peanut butter cookies). I didn't taste them myself (on a diet) but I thought they looked and smelled quite delicious. I make this stuff for the kids, so I'll look for a more traditional (thicker) recipe. After the first few batches I tried refrigerating the dough to see if that would stop them from spreading as much, but it didn't help.

These are delicious! Quick and easy, too. Made mine with a stick of softened butter and blended all the dry ingredients before gradually adding them to the peanut- sugar- egg- mixture. My five year daughter helped and they turned out great! Will definitely make again.

Instead of using butter, I used coconut oil. I was concerned that the slight coconut would interfere with the peanut butter taste but instead it enhanced it! My husband said he couldn't pay me enough to make another batch. Coconut oil is a MUCH healthier alternative -- you can get the good quality kind at health food stores (Wild Oats, Safeway, Hy-Vee-healthy isle)...but beware, you results will be a hint of ""hmmm, what is that taste""? Very yummy!

I just whipped up this cookie mix before the super bowl party! The one thing I must say is that I used butter and trader joes cashew/macadamia nut peanut butter...YUMMY!! These cookies came out awesome! I also dipped the fork in sugar instead of flour :) These were super easy to make and they will be a hit for the Super Bowl Party! Go Pats!

Very light and fluffy cookie dough. Easy to handle. I added 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and baked only 10 min. I made walnut sized balls of dough flattening them with a floured fork. It is really a most favorite recipe!!

I made these using a fork and wooden spoon...the dough was perfect (I forgot the salt). My balls were larger, so I only got 14 cookies. I baked them for 14 minutes. I can hardly write this review because I'm eating them now. Saved me a trip to the store at midnight to relieve a munchy attack. Thanks for the recipe! --Michael

Decided to give this recipe a try...and WOW!!! This cookie was fantastic. My husband usually critiques my peanut butter cookies, but not these ones!!! I would suggest these to everyone. Because my family is large I tripled my dough...just enough!

I just made these cookies and had no trouble at all with the dough. I used 1/2 stick of butter and 1/2 stick of margarine. They are absolutely delicious!! I always used the Crisco recipe and decided now that I like these better. They are slightly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

I just got done making these cookies and they were wonderful, you have to put some flour on the fork to make the criss crosses on the cookies but everything else was perfect. Also, I used fresh made peanut butter, for anyone who has a publix grocery store near by, you can buy it from there and it made it just that much better.

The dough was a bit too moist and would stick to the fork, so I just didn't bother with that. I just dropped it on to the cookie sheet by the teaspoonful. The cookies turned out perfect and I will use this recipe again.

i made these cookies for friends and was too embarrassed to serve them. The initial batter was runny and of no consistency to form balls. i added another 1/4 cup of flour until it reached a ball forming potential. Once baked, the cookies were very cake-like and lacked the lip-smacking appeal I was looking for. Perhaps it was my error in adding the flour, but without the additional 1/4"" cup I would have had nothing more than runny, formless peanut butter pancakes.
