a pound of cheese? is this correct? and only a 1/2 cup of liquid (milk)? give me a break... this recipe tasted so strongly of chicken. It did cook nicely in the crock pot which was handy because my oven was in use, but I'll never make this again.

I can't make scalloped potatoes in the oven to save my life. I had almost given up on them until I found out you could make them in the crockpot! Yeah! I made this recipe and I was going to cook on low for 6 hours because I figured 9 was way to long. Before I could put the recipe together, the power went out and I didn't get the recipe made till almost 2pm. I cooked it on high for 4 hours to eat at 6:00pm. The potatoes were almost perfect. But they need more flavor. I think next time I will try a can of cheddar cheese soup instead and maybe add ham. Very good recipe overall.

i was looking for a do ahead crock pot recipe and the time on the recipe is way off. It says cook on low for 9-11 hours,after 6 hours it was done and by the time it was served the potatoes were burned.

I layered in slices of onions for an even better flavor.
