    So yummy!April 05, 2012 By mwhittglover
I used frozen meatballs because I was in a hurry. The sauce was easy to make and was SO good! Now I won't have to make the hour-long drive to Ikea just to get Swedish meatballs. I will definitely make this again.

    Swedish MeatballsSeptember 27, 2011 By way2sunny
We changed it up a bit as well. Can of mushroom soup and a can of beefy mushroom soup with 1/2 C of sour cream and about a 1/2 C milk with a bit of white wine to thin it out. We also used a bit of the pasta water to keep it from getting too thick. I usually make my own sauce but, this was really good! Definetly will make it again!

Meatballs, yes, Swedish, no!November 03, 2010 By cstotlar
These aren't bad... just ordinary. No, of course the Swedes dont use soy sauce or Jimmy Dean sausage or anything like that in their native cooking. At their best, their meatballs have a lovely white cream sauce with a touch of nutmeg or allspice. Some veal might be mixed with the ground beef but certainly not country sausage from down South in our country!

Add brown gravy mixSeptember 08, 2010 By hendersonrobyn
This is a pretty good and easy recipe, but adding some gravy to the sauce is a must. I have made it with both jarred and powdered brown gravy and both were good. Without it, the sauce just tasted too much of canned mushroom soup.

    Great RecipeSeptember 10, 2009 By geminigurl45
This recipe was easy to follow and I had all the ingredients on hand. I did tweak it a little bit, however, using ground turkey instead of beef. The turkey gave it a lighter flavor. Served over egg noodles. My kids are picky eaters but they asked for leftovers on this one.

I have to say I DID NOT like it. I made it first then read the reviews. Needless to say, didn't know white wine could have made it better. The sauce was too thick. And I particularly didn't like the flavor of the sauce compared to other recipes I've tasted before. I DID like the meatball though.

    Excellent!!!!February 01, 2009 By kikid923
I made this recipe for Super Bowl dinner and served it over pasta. All of my guests enjoyed it and it was so easy to make! I did add a little bit of paprika for color and white wine for flavor. I will definately make this again.

This recipe seems like it could have really good. But it doesn't tell what what temperature to cook the meatballs! As a person new to cooking it's very essential that I have all the information. Better luck next time, I guess.

    Great sauce!June 20, 2008 By Noryale
Added a bit of white wine, and instead of adding milk added a bit more sour cream... Great flavour, recommend it!

I also used the cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic and I also added a can of beef gravy to the soup mixture and 3/4 cup of milk instead of 1/4 cup. My whole family loved it and I love that it was quick and easy to make!

    Good, but not Swedish!January 18, 2008 By jonese67
The signature ingredient for Swedish meatballs is allspice, which is missing from this recipe. Good meatballs, but they aren't Swedish!

Easy, Fast and AwesomeJanuary 13, 2008 By mzboop
my family totally enjoyed this meal. I modified it a bit by adding white cooking wine and as for the mushroom soup I bought the one which has garlic in it. I also used already pre made meat balls. I added the meat balls into the pan with a bit of Olive Oil, salt pepper and garlic. I would make this for any event. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
