    Very goodNovember 30, 2011 By debbyi64
This pot pie was very good and easy to make. Had all the ingredients in my house to make it. Shredded my left over turkey, I like this better then cubed. I did add one chopped clove of garlic with the onion. Very tasty.

Definitely not low calorie, but ohhhh my!February 09, 2011 By catedharma
With the butter and the pastry, this dish is not for those on restricted fat diets, but how delicious it is. My family often turns up its collective nose at leftovers, but as a previous poster says, they came back for more. I have also made this with no bottom crust and just a layer of puff pastry on top and adjusted the cooking time accordingly. Served with a nice green salad with a light vinaigrette, this will nicely serve the last of your roast turkey!

    They went back for thirds!November 30, 2010 By Nikki_In_Ca
I never thought this would be such a hit, I figured it was going to be another recipe that was good, after all it had 5 stars, but it turned out to be a grand slam! I was looking for a way to use the left over Thanksgiving turkey, turkey drippings, and green beans as it goes against my every moral to throw food away, so I made 2 pies for 4 people mostly following the recipe except I used dry turkey gravy mix instead of flour, the turkey drippings instead of stock, and added green beans (and a few spices like poultry seasoning, etc.) and there wasn't a bite left! I got 3 ""that was by far the best pot pie I have ever had"" votes; 1 from my bff who is a foodie like myself. I did use the Marie Callender pie crusts and they were SO GOOD!! I highly recommend this recipe and for sure will be making it again myself. If there is one recipe you add to your box, let it be this one!!

Turkey Pot PieNovember 29, 2009 By rosegarbonick
This was delicious! It tasted homemade! The only thing I did different was instead of peas and carrots, I used frozen mixed vegetables. I only had a small piece left over for my husband's lunch. This dish tasted better then a restaurants!

Lactose Free Turkey Pot PieMarch 23, 2009 By swiiiila
This was great! I substituted soymilk for the milk to make it lactose free. I added chopped onion. Wonderful. Keep the top crust frozen until inverting it; otherwise it will melt too soon.

Great Turkey Pot Pie!November 26, 2007 By mmslvr
What I loved about this recipe is that it was simple to make and not so many ingredients to use. You don' t even need a can of soup! I added potatoes and I used 1/3 cup milk and whipping cream to make the sauce a little thicker before adding the meat and veggies. . If you can get a hold of the frozen Marie Callendar pie crust, that made the whole pie even tastier. So easy to do and a great way to utilize leftovers. Hope you enjoy it as much as my family!
