Great, but My way is better!!!!December 16, 2007 By bigislandgrrl
The first time I made this, following the recipe exactly, It left much to be desired. The ""french toast"" on the inside was mushy, and kind of made my stomach turn thinking of the raw egg I was eating. So, I threw it away and started anew. I reccomend cooking the ""french toast"", like French Toast. Dipping the bread slices ( cut into halves) in the egg, and frying on the griddle. While frying on the griddle, I toss on slices of ham and turkey to warm next to the french toast. When you flip the first time, arrange the cheese (cut to size) first, and layer the warm turkey and ham on top of the browned french toast. When the bottoms are browned, attach the two sides of the sandwich. Lightly dust with powdered sugar (a little goes a long way) and serve with warmed (thinner) rasberry jam.
