Absolutely Amazing and SIMPLESeptember 25, 2011 By FollowChristine
Such a simple easy dish. I had a few variations: I bought pre-cubed butternut squash which was very convenient. Used light maple syrup bc I had no honey in stock. Also used 3 TBSP melted margarine instead of 4. Sprinkled with nutmeg in addition to cinnamon for extra flavor. Suggest you toss the ingredients around a bit before baking to allow pecans to get coated in that yummy mixture as they will start to candy a bit which tastes even better. I had to cover in foil to allow my squash to soften and baked a little longer, then removed foil for last half which allowed the pecans to candy.

    Mashed butternut squashNovember 08, 2010 By 2BeautifulGirlsMom
I made mine with 2 butternut squash mashed with the mixer, brown sugar to taste and it was good like whipped sweet potatoes. Next time i would add sweet potatoes if i had them.

It was good, except it needed salt & brown sugar to make it even better.

    LOVED IT!November 21, 2007 By tarakim
My entire family gobbled up this dish. I only made one squash and regretted not making more in the end. Even my kids (3 & 9 months) asked for more! This is going to be a Thanksgiving staple in our home from now on.
